This is another Os Blumhardt hybrid of M. x veitchii x M. denudata that brings out the best of both parents. Originally named for the appearance of “a thousand” butterflies perched along the branches. The growth is upright to spreading with the plant settling to flower the second or third year from grafting (the next year from planting).
